Headphone suggestions? anyone?

Shortly:
I was thinking of buying new ones, I want the best buds I can offer myself, does anyone got any comparisson site or anything like that?

The full story:
I intend to buy the Clix2 when the iriver store will be back in action...
For the last 3-4 years I've been using the Sony MDR-J11G ($15) I absolutly adore them! 4 months ago I've got the Bose TriPort IE (100$) as a birthday present. I thought they'll grow on me but appereantly I'm just finding new flaws.
At first I hated the way the sit in my ear, they just keep falling, the speaker is too far from my ear drum and after a while I've discovered that these phones are probably not ment for hearing metal, rock and any other type of loud music. Don't get me wrong - I'm not the kind of preson who uses headphones on full volume or, even half of it, but the Bose headphones seriously lower the volume down and the bass is just way too heavy and I'm a bass person
I'm gonna switch back to my old phones when I'll get back from my vacation in the US. but I was thinking of buying new ones, I want the best buds I can offer myself (which I know exactly how much that is after I'll get back home) but for now all I've got is google, therefore this entire post.
tnx for those who've read this. :P

I can give you a list of headphones that can easily ruin your saving account, but it is better for you to decide how much money you want to spend first. Also equally important, what type of form factor do you want? Over-the-head (open/closed), clip-on, earbud, canalphone (including IEM)?

If it is an earbud, the best earbud that without any argument is definitely Yuin PK1 (US$150). Audio-Technica CM700 (US$110~150) is also quite good. If you are not prepare to spend that kind of money, give us a price range that I can suggest something that fit in.

That's the thing - I don't know my range yet, I'll know it in 2-3 weeks from know... I thought that in the meantime I'll browse and check what I can get for different price ranges.

When I'll know my range I'll bump the thread or post a new messege. sorry for troubling you for nothing...

I hate those style of earbuds because they are uncomfortable. They are shaped like the cheap ones you get with any media player.

simonarea, just use the Sony MDR-J11G I've been using, they're suppose to be durable and the sweat proof or whatever they call it. I liked the sound of it and it's only 15$ (US)

I just ordered v-moda Vibes over eBay...

It's received pretty good reviews considering its price ($70)

I have a pair of Sony MDR-ED21LP earphones and love them. They are great quality with good bass and cut out almost all outside noise when i'm listening. I got a pair of them for £10!

Well I just wish to say, if you are looking for some great earcanals then......

Future Sonics Atrio MP5 Pro are the ones to get.

These cost around $200 but they are worth it.
Also they come with a very nice case in with you can keep your clix2 with.

Soundwise, the Atrio is dark and smooth. Rolled-off highs, some recession in the mid-range and an emphasis on bass (not overly so) make it an enjoyable listen than is very non-fatiguing. Good details across the spectrum, but you do have to pick them out more than say the Shure E500 (not a fair comparison between the two, just using it as a reference). Much better than the Vibes.

The PK1s are simply wonderful earbuds but when talking pure SQ - the M5s win hands down. There is just so much more music with the M5s. And what I mean by "more" is, as mentioned above, I can hear subtleties that just get lost with the PK1s.

Argh, I feel your pain. I don't like how the earbuds are so deep in your ear that if you just move the cord, you can hear its movement.

Sure would appreciate some recommendations on earbuds for working out etc. for my soon to arrive Clix2.

Price range would probably be no more than $70...I've tried the V-Moda ones that CNet raved about but I flipped them on ebay after 1 day...Just never did it for me...Although, perhaps I never had them fitted in properly, not sure.
