Wow.. I'm nearly speechless.. I found these RCA RCA HP-240s at Family Dollar for $5.00 USD. now, sick of my wannabe IEMs (look at first post in this thread), i bought these. Not expecting much, i plugged them in my clix and got to listening. These are the best headphones I have ever heard, but the best I've had before this were some Pannasonic clip on phones for $10.00.
These are great, and if you're low on money, and desperate for headphones, try the RCA HP-240s. I searched for them, but there were only some on Amazon, and they're sold out. The bass is pretty good, the mids could be stronger, but the trebles are pretty good
I'm still going for the Creative IEMs posted earlier in this thread

Etymotic ER6i (IEM)
- Style/Comfort
Consider to be a strong competitor of E3c, ER6i is much more comfortable due to its conventional wearing style and the tri-flange tips used (improvement over the ER6). It is all white (reason below). Although it might look thin, the cable used is very strong.
- Sound Quality
As the name ER6i suggested, This model is built for ipod by improving the sensitivity of the original ER6. Although suffer a very slight lost of accuracy (90%+ > 80%+), the overall loudness of the ER6i allow low power output players such as the 1st gen. ipod to use it without any amplification. Like any Etymotic IEM, ER6i is very accurate and detail (more than that of Shure), more 'analytical' as some might put.
- How well does it go with the Clix?
Good, much better than E3c. Beside sound quality, the thin cable used allow easier access and suitable for outdoor used.
- Worth the money?
Definitely. If given a choice between E3c and ER6i, I will choose ER6i any time due to its ease of use.

Sony MDR-EX51
- Style/Comfort
'bout the same as any in-ear model. For me they are tons more confortable then traditional buds and they don't fall out all the time.
- Sound Quality
Pretty mid-range. The base response isn't much, but mids and high are nice and clear. I think the main reason I like them is because they cut out the background noise.
- How well does it go with the Clix?
Pretty darn well. I like them better then the stock buds (which I gave away on MR). I think they also come in white if you want them to match.
- Worth the money?
At $45 they are on the edge. At $30 I say they were a good deal.

I'd like to see one, unbiased person test a huge sample of a bunch of earphones with the clix2 and see which is better.
Most people have really only stuck with one brand of headphones, and those of us that aren't made of money can't go out and test em all searching for the best one

Translation: I'd like either Jeff or Ted to pony up the cash to answer my question.
(The clix2 hasn't released yet, so you are targeting a limited set of people with your request. Also if you read my title, I'm not unbiased.)

Man, testing earphones is like tasting icecream, in other words it so heavily depends on personal preferences, not to mention perception. Is like tasting different flavors of icecream made with the very best ingredients (for higher end earphones) and recipes, they're gonna be top of the line, but for instance if a particular person doesn't like coco-nut, it doesn't matter if it is the best coco-nut available, that person is going to dislike it ([s]he may recon the superior quality of the manufacturing and ingredients, but still not like it). The same applies to any sensual stimulus. Each person perceives differently, plus the whole preference. One guy may prefer their earphones to sound "deeper" resalting the low tones, while another prefers a "brighter" tone with treble sounds being clearer, etc, etc. The point is, no body can tell you which is best, that depends solely on your taste and preferences. It would be awesome if you could test a set before you buy them, that's for sure! (no pun intended!!!)

Is the sound on the clix2 going to be that much different from other irivers? I have the 320, h10 and t10 and have tried quite a few earphones/headphones although I tend to use the earphones.
There are some that just didn't work for me personally
sony mdr-ex71 short left cord too irritating
Koss plug - poor fit
Shure E3- same reasons as clieos
CREATIVE LABS EP-630 - poor fit
These are ones I use pretty interchangeably:
V Moda Bass
Etymotic ER6i
XtremeMac IPD-FSE-10 FS1
Style/Comfort:
All 3 are very comfortable, stay in my ears, and come with different sized fit options;
I like the way they look; the v moda has multiple color options
Sound Quality
Excellent- all 3 sound very good with all my players and with a range of music.
(I can't say how they go with the clix yet but they are great with all the other irivers plus my iaudio.)
Worth the money?
The v-moda are the least expensive (under $40) and definitely worth that price.
The XtremeMac was $50 at Amazon and definitely worth that. It's selling there now for $150 and I wouldn't buy them at that price.
The ER6 - The price has come down and, given the comfort and quality, I think they're worth it.

Shure e4c
- Style/Comfort
I like the look of them. IIRC they're a bit smaller than the e3 and hide nicely away under my hair. Sometimes I get some funny looks putting in and taking out the triple-flanges, but who cares if other people think your headphones look silly. If they do then they probably have no idea that you can use different 'phones other than the ones that come with their player.
- Sound Quality
Strong but tight and well controlled bass (not booming). Detailed mids and highs. Great soundstage. Very clean sound but still warm.
- How well does it go with the Clix?
Sounds great unamped. The right-angled jack is good, but where its quite chunky it sticks out and so if you try to operate the clix on a flat surface like a table then it puts strain on the headphone jack.
- Worth the money?
Yup. Got them quite a bit below MRSP (about $240 IIRC). Great buy.

Panasonic RP-HV600
- Style/Comfort
The outer part is slightly larger (due to the special 'duo' drive used) than a normal earbud but it still fit nice.
- Sound Quality
SQ is among some of the best earbuds ever made (like the original Sony E888). It was made during the golden age of earbud (late 90s) and one of the last high end earbud model Panasonic made.
- How well does it go with the Clix?
It will go well with almost everything.
- Worth the money?
Definitely, but unfortunately you can't buy these anymore. The production stopped around year 2K. If you want to look at it, it is here.

Sennheiser HD200
- Style/Comfort
Some may not like the look or size of them, but they are light weight and componet based so you can change any part of the head phones instead of buying new ones. I have a few pairs of smaller in ear phones I use some places like the gym etc, but none of them sound as good as the HD200's
- Sound Quality
Fantastic sound don't know what else to say!
- How well does it go with the Clix?
don't know I don't have a clix ..... Yet!
use them with my Iriver H340 Sound great unamped, but I keep thinking I could get more out of them with a pocket amp.
- Worth the money?
Yup. $169 AUS when I got them.
