Make me discover some music !

Hello !
I got eight gigabytes of storage space on my Clix (more like 7.6, but they round it up to 8... whatever), and I'd like to use them fully. I'm getting bored of listening to my few tracks over and over again.

Here we could post any artist, song or album that we like -- no matter the genre of music. I personally like rock/punk-rock/ska/alternative/a bit of metal, but I'm also into house music, electronica and ambient, as well as classic rock or acoustic guitar. Tell me what you listen to and make me discover new artists or maybe even new genres of music !

This thread isn't only for me, it's for all those who would like to discover something new. The best would be to post a link in which we could directly hear a song (YouTube links would do fine).

I'll post some of my music later !

ok, some music i love!

Jack Johnson
Green Day
Good Charlotte
Ben Folds
The Verve (or Verve Pipe) i think
The Decemberist - thats indie
Counting Crows
Collective Soul
Jimmy Eat World - my favorite band ever!!
OneRepublic
Third Eye Blind - Ditto with Jimmy Eat World
Lifehouse
James Taylor

I have many country bands but i take it you dislike them. Try listening to some you may actually like it. Especially their old stuff, all the new country is really weird. Good luck

Thanks ! That seems to be in my tastes.
I'll check that out !

For those who like guitar, check out International Guitar Night... Acoustic guitar at its best !
Here are some Youtube videos of some songs, most of them available on CD. My favorite guitarists are Brian Gore and Antoine Dufour, but they're all great.

YouTube - International Guitar Night- Brian Gore - Dutch Crunch
YouTube - International Guitar Night-- Brian Gore - Auspicious Star
YouTube - Antoine Dufour - Development - www.candyrat.com
YouTube - Antoine Dufour - Reality - www.candyrat.com
YouTube - Four Hands Guitar (!!!)
There's a lot more, just search "International guitar night".

Keep posting guys

Right now I have the new N*E*R*D album Seeing Sounds on my clix and I'm listening to it all the time.
My favorite song: Everyone Nose
I also like the new Coldplay album, but that has been said in the post above me.
Two of Kanye West's albums are quite good, especially Graduation.
Example of one of his songs: Good Life
Then there's Amy MacDonald's This Is The Life which I like too.
Well that's about all for now..

Cake (sometimes CAKE), they're kinda alternate rock, I'll warn you, they are a bit weird:
Short Skirt/Long Jacket: YouTube - Cake - Short Skirt/Long Jacket
(cool video, clever)
Daria: YouTube - Daria - CAKE
(the vid is just the album cover)
Sheep Go To Heaven: YouTube - CAKE "Sheep Go To Heaven"
(weird vid)

The Ark: Swedish (i think) rock band. Also very weird. (I think I''m seeing a pattern with my music tastes):
Calleth You, Cometh I: YouTube - The Ark - Calleth You Cometh I
(again, weird vid)
2000 Light Years of Darkness: YouTube - 2000 Light-Years of darkness- The Ark
(just pics)
The Worrying Kind: YouTube - The Ark - The Worrying Kind
(very weird vid)

Listen to them all the one through if you can.
Good luck on discovering new music
(I'll have to try those websites soon)
