Suddenly having problem with connecting your clix/clix2 to your PC? Here are a few steps you should do before posting/asking around:
- Hit the player's reset hole on the side with a paper clip (or similar object) to reset the player. Check to see if the problem goes away.
- If the problem persists, restart your computer.
- Try another USB port.
- If the above didn't help, format the player by using the format option in your 'Advanced Setting', than try again.
- If formating doesn't help, try restore your PC setting to the last known good setting or restore point (Windows XP/Vista).
- Try uninstall WMP11, than reinstall it back with a full copy downloadable via Microsoft.
- Check whether the player shows up in 'My Computer', than try it on another PC (with WMP11 installed) to confirm that your player is still fine.
If you have tried all the above steps without any success, please start a thread in the clix2's forum and list down all the step you tried with result, what firmware your player is using, what (if any) triggered the event, etc. Every detail helps.
Also, it is a good habit to
back up your player in regular interval to make sure you can restore your files back.
'Reset + Format' is the first thing you should try on solving any clix/clix2 problem.
