Hello all,
I wanted to contribute this since it was bothering me since I got the awesome Clix 2 redline two days ago.
The situation:
- Clix is in UMS mode: (System->Advanced->Connection Type->MSC(UMS).
- Id3 tags are all set with album art: In Ubuntu, using EasyTag.
- Using Amarok to transfer music into Clix 2:
- Settings->Preferences->Devices. Choose "Generic Audio Player"
- Configure the device:Make sure that song location starts with "Music" so that Clix 2 can see it correctly.
- After transferring the files, Rebuild the Database so it will be populated.
- Tracks in Albums are in alphabetical order not in track order.
The Solution:
It turns out that as a default, EasyTag uses UTF format to write the tags, which is not read correctly in Clix 2. So, go to EasyTag the Settings->Preferences and under "Character Set" choose Other and "Western ISO 8859-1". Resave all your files and reload them into clix using Amarok.
Should Work.
To all who are not using Linux. If you have the same problem make sure you are writing your ID3 tags in ISO or western and NOT UTF.
