I will try and answer specific questions that anyone may have in this thread regarding the new clix2. If I don't have the answer, i'll try and find it.

Edit: Please note that the production clix2 i'm using is a Korean version. There is no doubt in my mind that the U.S. version will have slightly different firmware. With this in mind there is a chance that some of the questions asked and answered here may vary once the U.S. models are released. I'm hoping not too much but one never knows.

Is it confirmed that the Clix2 will have the Rhapsody DNA like the Sansa E200R series does?

Thanks so much for testing this for me! I would easily toss my E270R when I get my Clix2 if Rhapsody will work seamlessly with it. The SQ of the Clix is no comparison to the E200 series.

Update on Rhapsody:

Rhapsody On the Go recognizes the clix2 in MTP mode as a supported device. However, it errors out when trying to transfer music saying something to the effect of "cannot verify the internal clock of the portable device"

Bear in mind again that this is not U.S. optimized firmware and my best guess is that this will be taken care of for the U.S. release since the original clix is a supported device.

Ted Yo! will be able to provide a little more insight on this I think.

Is the FM tuner reception as awesome as it is on the Clix1? I can actually happily use this function now on my Clix as I get stations I couldn't get on my other players.

As you know FM Reception varies greatly by geographic area. Here in Las Vegas we have generally terrible FM reception and transmission but the clix2 seems to work just as good as my clix1 so I'd say they are probably using the same chip inside the player.

Yes, they do work... while there are some that might not, I just tried over a dozen games, animations, etc and they all worked fine.

Unfortunatly Real has decided to blaze new trails and I am not very plugged into their requirements. Every other service uses WMDRM10 and WMA - Real is now using a propritary format and probably their own DRM scheme. What I can say is:
1) If I were to guess at what would be different between the Korean release and the US one, this would be at the top of my list. There are huge incentives for supporting Real and I'd be suprised if iriver wasn't aware of them.
2) A secure clock error usually has more to do with accessing the secure clock provider on the internet then it does with any failing on the device itself. Firewalls and proxys can block it as well are honest server errors.

On the flash topic: I have run about 125 flash titles on the clix2 without issue. As Jeff says your mileage may vary, but I think it will support most, if not all, of the same titles the original clix did.

How was the FPS rate compared to the clix 1?
Were the games playing at a much more smoother rate?

Like most flash versions, I think it will be backward compatible (most of the time anyway). But I could be wrong.

Well i can't answer that (without having one), but i figure that they would because of the newer version of flash. But it could also depend on the processor (same or different to clix2?).
