Hi Noodle, Any particular issue with following the disassembly instructions in reverse order? Could you specify what the problem is? Thanks.
I'm quite interested. My Clix's screen went wild with jumble lines this morning before settling on a grey/yellow pattern with a kind of a gradient and a one millimeter black transversal line... I would look at it as a sharp minimalistic design if I wasn't worried about my indispensable portable sound machine. The buttons are unresponsive - i can't turn it off/on or anything. Pluging it in doesn't help.
There was no particular shock, bump or abuse. I fell asleep on it last night but that's all. I had a couple instances of frozen screen recently but was able to turn the machine off/on and it worked.
Now, as a first step, I'm thinking of letting the battery deplete completely so the machine gets off and hopefully it will restarts once recharged. I have little choice anyway, since i can't turn the thing off. Hopefully it will recharge. If not, the second step may be disassembly to check any loose wiring. Then, I expect, reassembly.
Any advice appreciated here too.

UPDATE: Plan A worked. the clix went off after fully discharging the battery and turned on fine after recharging a bit. Pfff... so relieved I won't need to open its belly yet!
