Whoops, sorry I haven't been on these boards very much - looks like you've found your ideal settings already but for anyone else browsing I'll answer the original question anyway.
For the 3gpConverter program I've been using the default PocketPC profile that comes with the install. The settings I choose depends on the type of video I'm converting (as in if its a movie, tv show or anime), how much time I have to convert and whether its just for the train ride to work or something I wanna show off to friends. So err.. there's no one profile that I use all the time.
With 3gpConverter however the profiles are split into:
Normal Quality Mono 15fps,
Normal Quality Stereo 15fps,
High Quality Mono 29.97fps,
High Quality Stereo 29.97fps,
So its pretty easy to figure out which profiles will take the longest to encode and their quality and so on. In general depending on your computer - High quality takes about 1.5x longer to encode over Normal quality... and again, the difference in quality depends on the type of video you're watching - I tend to notice it more with animations while regular tv look the same to me on both normal and high quality.
I can't remember the bitrates they use but I think its something like 300bps and 500bps respectively.
But since making that original post about the two programs, I've matched the 3gp settings in SUPER coz there's just more tweakable options in SUPER.
Oh and one last thing, I posted this on the forums before but nobody replied so I'm not sure if its just my player - but I've since found that setting the fps of the output video to anything other than 29.97 will mess up the total time display on the clix trackbar, the video will play fine. But the correct time is only shown when the fps is set to 29.97... Might just be me though.
