Smile Video Battery Life Test - Informal

Well, this evening since I had no where to go and have to sit in front of the TV with my foot elevated, I decided to run an informal video test.
  • Underworld Evolution
  • 1200kbps - Video
  • 192kbps - Audio
  • Xvid Codec
  • 1:46min - Movie Length
I was able to run through the video 2 full times plus 1 hour on the 3rd pass for approx.

4.5hrs runtime

Not bad if I do say so myself.

With movies encoded at a more reasonable 600-800kbps with 128kbps audio we should see 5hr runtimes.

Still annoyed at not having a replaceable battery. But i lived with the 4 hours on my PMP. Great work jeff.

it was also good 2 years ago. Then again the video quality has increased I guess so i guess it uses more power. I was hoping for maybe a 6hours or even 8 (or replaceable battery). But its alright I guess. Its not like I need more than 4 hours of video per day, its just an advantage to keep in mind.
