Video Details
I want to get video on my Clix2 in the mp4 format. I got this free converter from Videora called Videora iPod Converter. Now, when i go into settings it gives me many different output options. Some are like MPEG 4 VGA 1536kbps Stereo/128kbps. Thats just one option out of many, the default one is H.264 QVGA 768kbps Stereo/128kbps. My question is, should i leave it on the default and it will work or do i need to change it? And why do some options say H.264 and others MPEG 4 if the resulting output file is in .mp4? Is their a big difference, will it affect the performance of my clix2? Am i asking to many questions? Sorry...

That converter will not work since it is clearly for ipod. You can use the one that comes with iriver plus 3, or use iriverter (with clix as profiles). The codec for clix2 is MP4 @ simple profile 3 with 384kbps, 320x240, LAME MP3 with 128kbps CBR.

I too am interested in some of the particulars about video, it is confusing. The iriver plus 3 software will convert videos before you put them on which seems to be recommended. The iriverter also seems to work well for clix2 as well.
For your converter, I don't think the MPEG4 VGA is the one you want. You want QVGA. That sets the resolution to 320x240. There are several types of codecs - H.264, xvid, divx, etc. Codecs are how the video is compressed (like how audio is compressed down with the mp3 codec). If you have xvid option, I think that works: Clix2 iriverter profile

I was able to create a new profile on the program and set the settings to what cleios told me except, its simple profile and audio is set to AAC-LC (only option) mode ABR (only option) bitrate 128 and channel stereo. Is this ok??

No, only LAME MP3 128kbps CBR will work (WMA might work as well, but I don't know the setting).

Yes. See video here: iriver clix2 video- The GUI with Flash lite at I2fly
He 'browses device' to the file directory (about :48 left in first video) and you see .avi videos. In video two, you see him play one of these videos (about :17 left).

Theres the problem, a very common one if you ask me.... I tried getting a link to download this program for half an hour without finding one(Clieos's one didn't work), i finally and stumbled upon a MR thread stating thats its not Iriviter, its Iriverter. I searched that on Yahoo! and found a link at sourcefog for v..16

no unless you convert it. I use Xilisoft to get odd formats like that to an mpg format and then use ireverter to convert them for the clix although there is probably an easier procedure
