2gb version of the clix2???

ive seen the 4gb version up for pre-order...but im wondering why they just put that up for preorder instead of both the 2gb and 4gb versions together.

i saw a post somewhere where iriver may not even ship the 2gb version at all! what gives?

The 2GB version has been dropped... the reason is that it is obsolete before it hits the U.S. shores as far as marketing is concerned. With the 4GB player only $50 more and with double the capacity it just doesn't make sense.

so you are positive? was this a press release or something? im not doubting you personally, just want to make sure before i go off and order the 4gb, that the 2gb is just not going to happen. so...can you reassure me??

also, im looking for an armband for the clix2. can i just the armbands they have up for sale in the accessories section? or do i need to wait for the official clix2 vers. armbands?

Just for the record...

You will not see press releases per se from iriver here in the U.S. They issue them but not widely and with no fanfare at all...

The information that I provide here is what I get from iriver and/or its representatives and is up to date and "to the best of my knowledge" at the time. Of course as with anything it is subject to change but I don't believe you'll see a 2GB version of the player. We will not be selling them at The iriver Store.

I realize that many, many users don't have disposable funds and are on tight budgets but it's worth the extra wait (if needed) and the extra $50 to double your capacity.

oh i agree, its worth the money. however, its my wife whos not all that fired up about a $200 player. see, im getting 2 of these...so both of us can go to the gym with mp3 players and stuff. she was okay with the $150 price, but not the $200 price for some reason. who knows anyway, should i opt for the original clix instead?

Well then... i'd get the wife a 2GB original clix and get yourself the 4GB clix 2.

so i mean, the original clix is a good player though right? i dont care about playing videos or anything btw. just music, and this will mostly be used for listening at the gym and stuff.

I have the original and I can honestly say its really great, the tunes are good quality and any good ear/head phones you have will just add to the awesomeness of the clix. It's perfect for the gym because its flash-drive, which means you won't damage the player by constant movement and its small, light and easy on the eyes.

k so i was looking at the clix and its like 150 bucks or more for the 4gb version. so obviously from my perspective, the clix2 is a better upgrade for only 25 dollars more or so. ill have to convince my wife

k...and when is the armband coming out for the clix2?
