I just would like to thank KSide for all of his valuable help. After many long hours, I have finally put a widescreen DVD on my clix. First, I had to switch the clix's settings so that it would sync with iriver plus 3---the best decision ever because WMP stinks. Then I downloaded the free 30 day trial of DVD Fab Platinum, and it created a usable copy of the DVD to be played on the clix. I did run into quite a few problems along the way, however, and would like to share the solutions to anyone who is having trouble putting a WIDESCREEN DVD onto their clix. Instead of using the "generic" profile, like KSide suggested earlier in this thread, I used the Zune profile. I had to use this profile because the generic profile would not allow me to put the movie into 320x240 resolution. By using the Zune profile, I was able to go to "crop settings" and disable the cropping of the horizontal black bars in the widescreen movie. Now, 320x240 resolution appeared as one of the options, which I selected. I used all of KSide's recommended settings, including doing the "2 Pass" for higher quality. It took about 2 and a half hours to create the file (I was using Pride and Prejudice, which is about 2 hours and 8 minutes long). Next, I imported the file into iRiver Plus 3, and transferred the file to my clix. This transfer took 2 hours, surprisingly. I thought it wasn't going to work. However, the full movie is now successfully on my clix!
