8gb firmware v.1.14 released!

It looks like the new firmware fixing the 8gb MTP problem has been released on irivers servers.
It has been confirmed (by Pettor) to fix the problem and is available for download here. (Top two, not sure which one you need.)
But it's best if you wait for the iriver updater (or iriver plus 3) for the auto updating of your player.

I just plugged in my Clix, and there it is V1.14, on iRiverPlus3

I'm updating right now, and i'll report if it works when it updates.

EDIT: Updated my 4GB player to 1.14, and the firmware is working wonderfully, formatted, and now music, video, games, themes, everything is in working order.

Works for me too! Updated using firmware updater, didn't delete all my content and now when I plug in to WMP it shows 7.6GB available on the device.

Not sure if there's been any other changes, but nothing obvious.

What are the release notes?

I haven't had a huge look around but as far as I know the release was to fix the 8gb MTP problem.

No word on the bug fix yet, but I do have the list of upgrades:

1. Improvement of MTP connection
2. Supporting 24 hour clock.

24hour clock is interesting.
What does the improvement of MTP mean?

on my 4gb unit i had 1650 wma files and it took 5 hours to load with windows 11 in mtp mode.... i noticed that after 900 songs the unit slowed to a crawl...i bet this is what the fix resolves. after fighting with the problem for 3 months i switched to the iriver software and it was like night and day.

ps...i noticed a custom equalizer when did this come out?????

The custom EQ is always there, you just didn't notice it before.

What about the in-game sounds? Are they optional?

Wow, this update seems like a great one.
That's one of the big things people have been complaining about.
