ATTENTION:
If you are using Rhapsody service, get either one with 'BAS' in file's name (these are the Rhapsody enable firmware). Those who don't use Rhapsody service, get either one with 'ENG' in file's name - you will get the 'ENG' files if you use Firmware updater or iriver plus 3 to automatically update your clix2 from v1.07.

So basically i added the 1.9 or w/e to the player, saw the changes in menu, the new start up screen, then formatted my player, turned it off, then on. It still has the new start up, but doesnt have any of the menu items concerned with rhapsody. Very confused.

Also, this is an official firmware? 3 come out in less then 2 weeks......

Is there a plug in to get it into WMP11? Instead of having two music media organizers, becuase that messes up the clix2, and rhapsody looks pretty cool.

I used firmware updater to update the firmware ( amazing i know) and basically you said it would be without rhapsody support ( which means without the rhapsody channels being a main menu item?) Yea well thats my problem, i want the one without rhapsody Firmware updater gave me the one with it....help plz

My apology. I should have said 'from v1.07' (and I already corrected my previous post).

You will have to update manually to reverse your clix2 back to 'normal' firmware if you already have 1.08 or 1.09 installed. Download the firmware zip files with 'ENG' in it (and based on what mode you are in). Read the FAQ for what to do next.

[EDIT] Just got some detail of this update.

Improvement:
Better video playback
Louder Alarm sound

Bugfix on:
Unable to run flash games sometime
Alarm error on USB connection
Lyrics display on WMA
Error massage displayed on video playback
Dimmed LCD on FM recording
Changed and saved UCI being deleted after reset
Other minor update

It is what I got from the translation of iriver's release note: "better video playback' or 'improved video playback'.

Phoenix, do you have to back everything up before you update the firmware? Ive never done it before. I want to do it the drag and drop way, without using iriver plus 3. Jo

When you update firmware you're gonna want to format device to make sure you have less problems down the road. So yea back everything up, pretty easy make new folders in My Computer or w/e then just drag the files into the folders, then just put everything back into later. Also you have to switch to UMS/MSC for drag and drop, which is fine becuase this automatically formats your device, hence losing a step...kind of annoying.

I just installed the firmware 1.10, re-formated and rebuilt the library however now notice an extrange behaviour of the "sound" options in two things:
1) With "Audible" material (audiobooks) the equalizer effect on sound is poor and the 14kHz eq. band has the unexpected effect of attenuating the overall sound level as you increase the level of the band. Yes, no effect on high tones however the total sound level is reduced (!?)
2) Now I have to choose between using the "Custom EQ" or using the "SRS WOW HD". The effect of each menu is canceled when the other is selected. As far as I remember, before it was possible to use the 2 "sound tools" simultaneusly but I´m not sure in what firmware level this stop working simultaneusly. This is observed both with music and subscription service materials.
My Clix2 is in MTP mode.
Maybe this is a bug in ver. 1.10 or only my Clix2 doing extrange things.
