I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been said yet...

Last.fm audioscrobbler support: would love to see this implemented, the one thing I missed about my rockboxed player.

Flash Video

youtube is all flash video and it is a pretty amazing codec. I know there is some sort of flash on the clix2 because of flash games. I want it to play flash video instead of the other lame codecs.

I think there's no point in that. FLV is a very limited format.

FLV has become a popular video format. Although iriverter still could convert it, upgrading to Flash Lite 3 will support it. (I already requested it in the PDF)

Who knows until iriver releases their successor to the clix2. Only then will we see if this sheet made any difference.

thing i loved with other players and that i think would make the iriver players (clix2 and t60 that i own, but perhaps it's the same for ALL iriver players) even better:

- CONTROLS: after the display goes off, the controls should respond immediately when pressed. the current situation is that you press any control to "wake up" the display, and only after that you can actually control the player. kind of "double work"

- RANDOM & PLAY: when i select "shuffle" and the player randoms the songs in the current queue (i hope everybody noticed that the play queue is NOT the same with the quick list , which is very nice indeed), i would like it to REMEMBER the new order of the songs. as it is now, if i RWD or FWD through the list, the songs are constantly shuffled.

- RANDOM & SHUT DOWN: i would also like for the player to remember the song order even after shut down. the value of this is that you avoid listening to the same songs all over again .. since they are only played ONCE, given the player remembers the shuffled order.

- SHUT DOWN: i know it's been said before, but it's very IMPORTANT that the player (clix2) remembers the last played song and even position after power off (NOT sleep). the T60 has this function and IS GREAT, and also saves buttery life.

- THEMEING: the "save UCI" is somewhat redundant and counter-intuitive. just make the player automatically save the last used theme, bkg image, and font

- CONTROLS: the soft button should have some more functions, such as cycle through play modes or cycle through EQ settings, or even directly assign an EQ setting (i usually use only two: the "normal" and the "custom eq" , and i would like to more easily switch bewteen them)

- PICTURES: pls implement zoom & rotate

.. if i'll get any more ideas, i'll let u know

I agree on all but the controls bit.

EDIT: AND... integrated (by this I mean, songs on the card are included with the onboard songs) memory card slot would rock my socks.

Add a "Play New" where it can be set to play all new songs by date of file, from today, a few days, a week a month etc

Rewind/Fastforward videos: There is no way to rewind instantly a video unless you hold the FF/RW button down and go all the way to the end or all the way to the start. This is annoying. Maybe add if you click it once and hold for 2 seconds it will jump.
The reason is sometimes you just want to see something in the credits but now have to go through the whole movie just to get to the end. Then of course it accidentally finishes the movie (while you hold the ff button down too long) and you didn't see what you wanted and now have to repeat that whole process again.

A side feature: have the ability to rewind a video to the end from the very start. Like a loop.

Oh, you just made me think of something.
When you want to hear only the end of a song, usually you can select the next song and hold the "<<" key (to rewind the song) up to the beginning so that it keeps rewinding at the end of the preceding song. (Got it ? )
The Clix can't do that... I think that's pretty basic.

And I'm pretty impressed by the amount of things that could be improved !

I think the clix has A-B repeat...I've never used it though... try holding the right side when playing a song; look around in there.

if its possible and has not been requested, add a quick lock system. lock the keys when the screen is off and unlock them/turn screen on when the fave button is pressed.
