Question A few firmware questions from a new Clix2 owner

Hi folks.

This is nice, this clix jobbie, I run it in UMS mode since I have Win2Kpro so MTP is not a realistic option.

My original firmware was 1.14EU.

IP3 offered to update it, and gave me 1.16EU. No offer of 1.17.

I got 1.17 from here. Note that it really is 1.17 and not 1.17EU. Does this matter?

The Rapsody version, I might give it a try some day (MTP can be done in Win2K for a trial, but it is not reliable). Thing is, why are there two firmware versions? One for Rapsody and one for IP3? Does the Rapsody one have any disadvantages, such as loss of other non-Rapsody IP3 functions? Or does it take up more room in the clix2 leaving less flash memory for music? Essentially, what's the advantage to using the non-Rapsody version, why does it exist?

Thanks for the help folks!

BongMong ~

Cause Rhapsody is a service similar to iTunes, you pay online for songs and/or download them in specific, secured Rhapsody format, which includes license etc (similar to WMA DRM). If you don't use rhapsody, you don't need that firmware. Dunno anything about loss of functions or room - I didn't test it.
There's no actually difference between EU and non-EU (I'd suggest non-EU, cause EU f/w in creative firmwares had volume limitations.
