Clix2 Firmware version 1.16
source (korean)
Just saw this while browsing for themes.
Just launch iriver plus 3 to get the update.
Not sure what changed though - can only recognise three terms : Audible , A-B repeat, Seek from the korean website.

There is only a minor bugfix on this release. Something to do with the seek function for Audible under A-B repeat condition.
For now, if you are not using Audible or not affected by this problem, you can skip this update (as I am planning to do).

Well I hope that they will fix the 'playback speed' in the next release. In previous iRiver products this was a very great feature but in the Clix2 if you active this feature the music sounds like crap. The function speeds up the music way too much, speed 1 is the same as the maximum in other iRiver products.

The equalizer you're using stops working as well when speeding up/slowing down, that's why it sounds so crap.
My old mp3player didn't pitch up the sound, it only speeded it up. I don't know which I like best though, pitching it up is kind of funny sometimes .

Nope this is NOT true.
My good old iRiver MP3 player the iFP-799 had the same function ==> Playback speed but when you activate this function to +1 you hear a little difference. The music speeds up only for ~1% , or a few BPM's (beats per minute). So you can adjust the music to your kind of flavor.
Because you could do this it was very great for the people who like (hard)Dance music. Because vinyl rips are too slow to listen. With my old iFP-799 you could speed it up a little. With the Clix2 this is history.
They f*cked up a very great en useful feature. This was one of the criteria to buy the Clix2 because I've read that the Clix2 supports Playback rate.
Hopefully they repair this function, a little X-mas present maybe…

What did you mean with 'this' when saying 'this is not true'?
I listen to hardstyle music most of the time and sometimes I have the same problem: in livesets the DJ's always pitch up the tracks so the original tracks are relatively slow. However I got used to it and I don't consider at as a problem now .

Thanks guys for the information. I won't upgrade mine to 1.16 seeing there's not much update on my Clix from this firmware.
It seems like most of my previous posts never appeared in this forum by the moderator. I wonder if the moderator hates me or something.

That the music doesn't sound crappy because the EQ is off. Ok you can hear that the EQ is turned off then but the speed is increased by more then 10% instead of 1%.

What's the point of increasing speed only by 1%? You would hardly hear the difference... For me speeds are OK, just EQ should work then.
