Hi all,

Any new news on this issue? Tracked in another thread?

I have had my 8GB Clix 2 for about two weeks, installed 1.17 Rhapsosdy firmware, and the music has disappeared twice in about ten days, just as described.

Thanks for any help.

Very interesting. I actually thought this issue was resolved with 1.16. I've been using 1.16 for a few weeks now, and I haven't had any problems yet. Perhaps iriver inadvertently caused the problem to reappear with 1.17. Try flashing 1.16 to your player and see if it helps. Report back and let us know how it goes.

Thanks, Gweempose. I'll flash 1.16. As you are painfully aware, it's an intermittent problem, but I'll post in a couple of days...or sooner if it glitches.

( By the way, I forgot to ask in my original post...is there a concensus among folks that earlier FW versions, ex: 1.11 DO NOT have this issue? I realize that earlier earlier versions only recognize 4GB, but I'd rather live with that limitation for awhile--assuming this eventually gets fixed--than have 7GB of content keep disappearing...Is 1.11 a good candidate?)

Thanks!

Did you format your player after firmware update?

I used 1.11 for quite a while, and it was rock solid. As I mentioned before, 1.16 has been reliable for me as well thus far. The only bug I have noticed with 1.16 is the screwed up text when viewing the artist information. I'm pretty sure this problem was introduced in the 1.14 firmware, as I don't recall it being an issue with 1.11.

Oh man. It is POSSIBLE that I did NOT format the player. I read the FAQ instructions about eleven times before updating, but after the player booted, I was pretty excited and may have forgotten to format in my rush to load Rhapsody content.

If I did goof this up, then my APOLOGIES for creating a thrash in this thread.

I've re-flashed v1.17 (and formatted after boot !! ) If I do see this issue again, I'll post a note.

Gweempose and Clieos, thanks for your help...

Well, I said I would post back if I still see this issue, and I do. Last time was 2 weeks ago, right as turned on my player on a 9 hour airplane flight

I've never gone longer than three weeks before playlists and Rhapsody channels just disintegrate into thin air.

Always on a power up
Tracks, albums, artists lists blank
Rhapsody channels gone
If I rebuild the library, I get access to all tracks again, but playlist and channel structure still gone
Happens in both power modes
Have re-flashed (and formatted after flash) each time, trying both 1.16 and 1.17 (Rhapsody) revs.
Have re-loaded Rhapsody itself, am running latest version, with all DRM updates etc, as directed by Rhapsody tel. support

I can't believe this is only happening to me !! I see the posts on the beauty and rock solid performance of Rhapsody enabled Clix 2 and wonder...are these folks using their Clix in a different universe than me?

Has anyone experienced this problem and absolutely, positively solved it??

Many thanks from a frustrated Clix 2 / Rhapsody user who can't quite reach the rainbow on the horizon

Similar things still happening to me. I know for sure that the Rhapsody folder under the Services folder gets corrupted, but I don't know why that happens. I have ruled out everything except Rating and Add To Library. This last time was interesting- I can still access the channels, but when I hook up to Rahapsody on my PC, it doen't show the channel capability on my Clix (because the folder is corrupted).

The only fix I have found so far is to format the device and reload everything all over again. This is getting to be a tremendous waste of time - takes 8-12 hours to reload everything.
