Help! Voice recording transfer question

Hey guys,

Voice recording currently works on my Clix i.e. I can record and playback on my Clix just fine. Everything works.

Today I attended a conference for work and recorded the session on my Clix. Playback on my Clix was great but when I got home and transferred it to my PC (drag and drop) it didn't work. The file appears to have been copied to my PC (name, size and duration is the same as on the Clix) but when try to play it, there's no sound. The saved file opens fine, and the duration is there - there's just no sound.

I know technically I shouldn't drag and drop (although I thought that was more so for adding files to the Clix) but I don't know how else to get it on my PC - now I have to get it working.

It would be really handy for work to have a copy of this file so I'd greatly appreciate any ideas/solutions/theories you might have.

Firmware version: 2.01AU_HK

Cheers.

I don't really know anything about clix gen 1, but as no one else has responded, here goes...

I have made MP3 voice recordings on my clix gen 2, copied them to my Win XP and played them using my default decoder, which is MediaMonkey. No problems at all. So, what's the difference?

Are clix 1 voice files MP3 too? Which OS are you using? Which decoder/player? Have you confirmed that the decoder plays other files OK? Is the sample rate of your voice files within the acceptable range for your soundcard?

If the file plays on the clix and copies OK to the PC, then the problem would seem to be with your audio player. Could you try playing it with another application or on another computer?
