as i told you on the MR forum, no you can't.
i don't know how hard it is to google these kinds of things.

all the cradle does is:
- line in recording
- line out
- alarm function (with a snooze button)
- built in speakers (the FM radio doesn't work while the player is in the cradle)

you can use it instead of the sync cable, and it comes with a wireless remote.

btw, i don't know which player can do what you just mentioned. some have the audio/video output so you can watch stuff on your tv. recording tv material on clix would be virtually impossible as the hardware it's packed with wouldn't be capable of converting the tv signal to a 15fps 320x240 video. plus the capacity of the player is very limited. reproduction on the tv also wouldn't make much sense, due to the small video resolution.

I would have to agree with Stupidlongname here... However, provided you could have a Set Top box or a MythTV box attached to your TV and let that record your shows and convert them (virtually on-the-fly) to the needed Clix specifications, then sync your Clix with that box, other than that I don't see how to do it (with the Clix, anyway).
