There is a new (official) MTP updater released from iriver, so it's up to you. I'm still not sure if it's reversable though.

I've just got my new Clix2 2GB (my U10 1GB didn't survive meeting with Mr. Washing Machine). It has 1.14EU version of FW. I downloaded latest iriver Firmware Updater (iFU) 2.7.0.0 and it offered me version 1.16. On iriver download page I see there's a 1.17 version from January. Here I see some talks about 2.01, 2.11 versions. I'm a little bit confused. Where can I get 2.xx version? Why iFU doesn't offer me a 1.17 version? Should I download 1.17 from iRiver Firmware Updates manually (which version? CLIX UM/BAS or CLIX)?

EDIT: I see i possibly choose bad forum - clix 1st Generation Firmware. Anyway I downloaded version 1.20 from here and everything looks OK.

This is largely guesswork, but it could be that there isn't a 1.17EU version, and I believe that anything later may be Korean only. Are you sure that the 2.X isn't for the U10/first generation clix?

I did a manual update from 1.16EU to 1.17BAS (because I'm a free spirit), but I don't think that I gained anything.
