Question yet another BSE question

I searched the forum, but i didn't see this anywhere, so please excuse me if it already exists

on the bse site, it says:
Quote:
You can perform the entire application in a steamy bathroom to reduce dust trapping under the skin during application.
my question isn't this potentially dangerous to the clix2/whatever other device you may be applying to? the steam could get inside the player and then cause water damage, or is there a small chance of that happening?

also another minor question, i read on this review (Reviews and pictures of Best skins ever (BSE) skins - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio) that a spray of windex is all that is needed for a good application of the bse, is this true/has anyone tried it?
(that review also has pictures of applied bse's for the people who like those)

A streamy bathroom is just an suggestion for a high humidity environment (>90%). Any high humidity environment will have less dust. Unless you are blowing a stream of hot water vapor directly on your clix2 or leave it in bath room for a very long time, I doubt very much moisture can get inside.

For me a small bowl of water with a drop of kids shampoo works great, is easy and causes no ill effects.

That does sound quite dangerous, probably wouldn't hurt your player but there is always a risk.
Just be careful when applying so no dust does get under.

I think it'll be fine as long as you don't leave the clix2 in there after you apply the BSE. And make sure you give the player's innards time to dry (if it somehow gets wet from the humidity) before turning it on and it should be fine.

thanks for the replies
im probably still going to use the baby soap/water combination, because on other forums, including the one linked in the first post, the windex would actually tint the skin after a while, so id be too worried about that
ill probably still do it in the bathroom too, because as i think about it, there really isn't that much of a risk, as long as I dry it out like RC2080 said
thanks again
