Best Skins Ever question
Hi, I'm new here, and I just ordered an iriver clix 2 and a BSE skin. This might be kind of dumb, but whatever.
After you apply the skin on the front, how long do you have to wait before putting the skin on the back?

I applied both one after the other and didn't have any problem. If you're worried about the first one sliding around, maybe wait an hour or so?

Theoretically, you should leave it alone for 24 hours, I think. But I found that after 12 hours, it was pretty much good to go. There were still some imperfections on it after 12 hours, but those went away after 24 hours.

I applied the front one and waited until you couldn't move it around before doing the back one (about 10 minutes). I then left the whole thing alone for 12 hours and it's been fine.

Mine had a thin, straight line/visable scratch through it that sort of faded but never went away.

I'm horrible with applying things, Jeff said he was going to offer pre-installation and I'm sure to take him up on his offer!

Lol im horrible with applying as well, mine had tons of bubbles, i was screaming at my mom to help and so on....it was an intense 3 minutes
In the end i decided to go without as i had a case that covers it tightly when im not using it.
So yea theres my life story.

Those that use BSE...do you use the BSE alone or WITH another case (silicone/leather)?

Dude, you do not need any sort of cover after you put on the BSE shield. I have it on my phone. I claw at it, I used keys with a bit of pressure. It's hard to scratch. The whole point of the BSE shield is to protect it without a cover. You're just defeating the purpose.
They're very similar to InvisibleShield too. No lifetime warranty, but the thing lasts as long as your clix will, and is 3 times cheaper.
I also need to note that if you look at it carefully, you can see little dimples. Like an orange peel, but much more subtle. You can only see it if you look for it. This is the natural finish, so don't worry.

The BSE/IS shielding's for scratches and the like.. The case is for shock damage (i.e. dropping it). Although it doesn't totally protect the clix2 from being dropped at any height, a case would offer a lot more shock protection than the BSE/IS coating..

Obviously. But I just don't like the idea of it being in a case. How do you show its real beauty being enclosed in a case?

I feel the same and have never owned a case for my mp3 players.
Unfortunately i hadn't heard of BSE or IS so i currently have one scratched mp3 player.
Can't wait to get an 8GB clix though

My old clix never had a case until I got the misticaudio, although it does shield the clix's beauty, its great for protection and makes it all the more pretty when you do take the case off!
