Again, if you'll pardon the expression, they "rape" you on price... Noreve have nice designs but their pricing is astronomical for a mass produced case.

I don't know why the silicone cases and the leather cases are the same price at the theiriverstore.com..The Korean site shows that the silicone case is about 6 dollars cheaper than the leather case..It would be nice to use those 6 bucks on shipping.

They are the same based on the price that iriver charges me for the cases which happens to be the same... I truly believe users will prefer the misticaudio brand silicone case over the iriver brand once they have seen them... and at $15.95US they will be much more reasonable... should be available the week of May 7 with any luck.

Now here's a case.... and borrow the "characteristics" from Noreve:
Characteristics
- Elegant case conceived in top quality handcrafted leather (misticaudio)
- Compatible MP3 player iRiver U20 (Clix2) (misticaudio)
- Access to basic functions (multiple openings on the leather) (misticaudio)
- Slim and padded design (misticaudio)
- Practical thanks to its snap button closure (misticaudio)
- Protects the device in an optimal manner (misticaudio)
- Headphone access (misticaudio)
- Opening for recharge (misticaudio)
- Interior lining in fine cloth (misticaudio, minus the fancy logo)
- Built-In Video Stand (misticaudio only)
- D-Ring attachment for wrist strap (included) or optional neck strap (misticaudio only)
No fancy box or packaging and a not so outrageous Noreve price of:
$19.99US

Well, the Noreve cases are expensive. You can't argue that. But, so is the Clix2. I really like the colors of the Noreve cases!

Oh, it's great to hear that there will be a misticaudio brand silicone case priced at $15.95. I will definitely be purchasing those. Thank you for letting us know.

I agree, the case is nice, but they sure know how to rip off people when it comes to accessories.
You guys could always check out eBay too. That's where I got my iriver clix 2 and v Moda Vibe Modaphones (earbuds). They might have some cases made for the clix 2 as well. If not now, but in the near future I would imagine.

it's not really a mass product case !
The black one is available in stock but any other colour is made ON DEMAND...
And they have a special vintage leather that seems so cool !
The finition quality is also by no mean comparable by the one showed here on this thread...
Oh .. and last but not least, those noreve cases are cut and made manually by hand.
This is the best looking case in my opinion, and I would surely buy it if I wasn't keeping my money for the craddle

I beg to differ... up until January 2006, misticaudio used the same manufacturer as Noreve. The black cases are not hand cut. The stitching is done manually by a real person but the leather is cut in batches same as the misticaudio case. Additionally, if you look around on the internet you'll find complaints about the Noreve case just like any other, not fitting properly, button holes not lining up properly, etc.
It's a very long story but here it is in short....
A company called Innovacases (some of you remember) was the European distributor for Vaja. They decided to start producing their own product under the Noreve name and were able to get a good sum of publicity by alluding that their product was made by Vaja for them and of the same quality but less expensive. This went on for some time and then Vaja pulled the plug on allowing Innovacases to sell Vaja. Now Innovacases is no more, fully merged into Noreve.
As for the quality of the two here... Without looking at packaging and logo'd materials you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference... I don't believe in fancy packaging that gets thrown away.. also don't believe in logo'd linings that do nothing but look nice as all that translates into cost which has to be passed onto the consumer, not to mention the fact that the lining is the least visible part of the case.
ps - if I seem pushy or hard headed it's because many users make purchases based soley on name... "Why did you buy that car?" "Because it's a Lexus" Instead of actually researching a product. I've been competing with Noreve since 2005 and like I said before, yes they have a very nice product. Is it worth over double the price of the misticaudio case or similar cases, no way... However I also understand that folks have a choice and as I've also stated before, that's what makes most of the world a great place to live. I would never begrudge anyone for buying a competitors product if they truly believe it to be better...
