this is the only reason why i haven't purchased a clix2 yet, how long before this accessory becomes available to purchase? Anyone manage to get one in the US?

I don't know if you guys have been able to access a translation of the description yet so I'll try to translate some key points that may be of interest.

- use of the D-Click control is still possible with the crystal case
- the crystal case and silicone armband attach via the clip on the back of the crystal case
- the crystal case clip can also be attached to jeans, pockets, bags, etc.
- the adjustable silicone armband has grooves for easy cutting of excess material
- the crystal case has a strap hole (for neck straps or accessories)
- the crystal case is NOT compatable with the neck-strap earphones.

I got the old silicone case package while I was in Korea...it came with two silicone cases (one of them glows in the dark, which is kick-ass) and an elastic-velcro armband for 13,000 won (about 13 dollars), so I think the new one is worth the extra few dollars for the style upgrade. I don't know about the predicted US price of $30...import fees are annoying >

Dunno, it still looks unreasonable... You know, it'll be used wile u'r running etc. It'd be vulnerable to dust and stroke. If you people saw the armband for iPod Touch, you would better understand what I mean. The iRiver unit should have been put into kinda pocket attached to the armband.

The new armband with the crystal clip case is only one variation among the assortment of designs of armbands made for the clix.

There are silicone cases that fully enclose the clix with slits in the back to allow the arm band to loop through and secure. You can check out the iriver store or search for clix accessories on ³×À̹ö :: ¼¼»óÀÇ ¸ðµç Áö½Ä, ³×À̹ö if you're interested.

Just got this email a little while ago from the company. I already ordered mine!

I ordered the Clix Armband Kit from Iriver and got it today. The Silicone strap is fantastic. It works very well. I don't like the "Crystal Case" however. The crystal case plate that snaps to the front of the Clix, makes it difficult to click the buttons, so i just don't use it; besides, the front plate of the Crystal Case is more or less useless if you already have a clear shield on. The back plate of the Crystal Case snaps on the clix, and it has a clip on it. Once you attach the back Crystal Case plate to the clix, you snap its clip into a plate that slides onto the Silicone strap.

I just ended up not using the Crystal Case at all, and instead just used my Misticaudio Silicone Case w/ the Silicone Strap instead. All i really wanted was the Silicone Strap anyway. The Crystal Case was kind of a waste. It would be cool if The Iriver Store or Iriver can just sell the Silicone Strap by itself.
