I dropped mine and screen is distorted (has lines running through it) sometimes when I turn it on, it's fine. B/C I bought mine off of ebay, Iriver will cover it on their warranty. I'm going to try to open it and check the connection. I let you know how it goes.

PS don't by these of ebay, mine was new and a US version, and still Iriver won't help.
