For argument sake, it is Rhapsody compatible but you need to load in the right firmware (v1.11). Let just say some of those iriver customer service are reading their (assuming correct) answer from a book, while we actually know the answer from experience (...simple term: they think they are correct, but they are not).

There are two types of firmware for clix2: The original firmware which isn't compatible with Rhapsody (often crash it), and the (still in beta but so far no problem) Rhapsody firmware. The reason those CS 'think' the original firmware is compatible with Rhapsody is because 'theoretically' it should (but not in real life). The new Rhapsody firmware (v1.11) is suppose to fix the problem, but it haven't been officially released (probably due to agreement between iriver and Real Network for co-launching it). The other reason why those CS didn't know about the Rhapsody firmware v1.11 is simple: cause we know better. All iriver firmware are hosted on iriver Korea's server, we 'look' into their hosted file and found it before it is released (to the world and those CS). Yes, we are that 'geek'.

The sad fact is, we (as in regular posting members here) are likely to know more about clix2 than any customer service, and our news are likely to be updated much faster than their website.

Last but not least, we don't assume you'll know everything, but we do assume you have read our FAQ and search through all the relevant threads before posting, so we don't have to repeat what we just said two week ago every time someone ask an old question. In this case, I just sum up a few weeks of posting for you (which I hope I don't have to do again in next few weeks). A forum will be very difficult to run if resource is spent on repeatedly answering mostly answered question, therefore we (and most tech support forum will) ask members to find their answer first, than ask if unclear.
