What sort of feedback are you looking for? Keep in mind that most (not all) of the issues I see reported are feature requests rather then actual bugs in the firmware.
Does not behave as designed: Bug
Behaves as designed: Feature Request
I would expect them to take all of the feature requests they see and implement the ones they feel are the most important in the next gen product. The bugs should be candidates for firmware updates.
Remember that firmware (software) design is part of the cost of a product. iriver has a track record of giving a few new features in firmware updates, but I wouldn't expect them to give away the milk for free.
(I am aware that many would argue against me on this point, especially those who are involved in the open source community.)
