Well, not an issue about video as such, but having into account vector graphics squeeze quite a bit of floating point juice... Also FLAC support should add to conserving battery (I know, completely unrelated) as it uses integer math instead of floating piont (OGG/MP3/WMA), not to mention the whole MPEG video decoding...
