Thanks for the advice. I certainly wasn't intentionally draining my battery. It just happened from one use to the next. I've since taken it off sleep mode and plan to charge more frequently, so hopefully that will help.

I was just surprised there was no back-up to restore settings (like in PDAs or other players) even if the main battery was drained. Wanted to make sure it was a general issue and not a problem with my specific player that needed to be replaced/repaired.
