Both times this happened, I had been listening to some music earlier in the day and then I shut my player off (full power off, not sleep). When I turned my player back on, everything was gone. It's strange, because the first time this happened, I had been using my player for several days without any problems whatsoever. Initially, I thought that something may have gotten corrupted when I upgraded to 1.14 using the iriver Firmware Updater. In order to rule this out, I decided to manually update the firmware. Unfortunately, I experienced the same problem just a day later. I have tried hard to see if I can duplicate the problem, but I haven't had any luck. I recently reformatted the player and put some new Rhapsody Channels and music on it. For the time being, everything is working fine. I'm fairly confident, however, that the same thing will happen again sooner or later.

I'm wondering if this is only an issue with the 8GB models, or if all models are similarly affected . Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have any theories or suggestions?

I've got a Clix2 Rhapsody with the original (1.1.17) firmware and I have had the exact same thing you describe happen to me twice in the two months I have owned it. Only difference is that i had mine on sleep mode (so no workaround there). Both times I had listened to the player for a while and then had it in my pocket in sleep mode. Not sure if it was locked or not, don't think it matters. Both times I was frustrated by the incident, since the only way to get things completely "right" with regard to Rhapsody content and Channels was to remove all songs and resync, which can take a while, even if you are half filling a 4GB player. So, I will put the 1.14 firmware on when I get home, but like you , I won't hold my breath that this won't happen again. I've been trying to remember to lock it if I'm going to keep it in my pocket (buttons pressed all the time) and I have gone to power off mode for now. (but my MP3 audiobooks want me to go back to sleep mode) Anyway, good luck!

Chris
